No way, sorry. No airline will let you consume your own alcohol on board a flight, you wouldn't even be allowed to take a corkscrew in your handluggage!0 -
I saw somebody trying to consume their own alcohol on a Ryanair flight once.
The Ryanair stewardess went absolutely ballistic - not at all happy.
Not sure whether (for the airline) it's a revenue or licencing issue though.0 -
Hi,
I flew from Blackpool to Girona in October with Ryanair. The couple in front of us brought on a bottle of champagne and drunk it. After saying that, I think they were on their honeymoon, and also they seemed to know the boarding staff so maybe that's why they got away with it?

just emailed thomson to find out if they have a policy ... can't find any reference to it on their website. i don't want to get plastered but just want to save a few quid ... in Goa it'll be the equivalent to a few nights accomodation.0

Hi, I used to work as Cabin Crew and I will reitterate to you that there is no chance of you being able to take your own alcohol on board an aircraft. It is not down to company policy it is down to the guidelines issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. Can you imagine what woul happen if every person were allowed to take their own booze on board?
Have a good flight :cool:0 -
What about not being able to take liquids on board!0

i know when i went away in the summer we couldnt take our own drinks from home onto the plane, you had to buy drinks after you were searched, its because the airline could think u are taking a liquid on board that will form part of a bombNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Just to throw this into the mixer..
Royal Brunei actively encourage you to take your own wine & spirits on board, and will even chill your wine & serve you mixers.
They do not serve alcohol themselves, but are happy to allow passengers to drink it.0 -
I think the new rules allow bottles no greater than 100ml capacity - maybe you can take on a couple of miniatures. The checking for this is done in security if you got past there I assume you would be able to get to your seat with it and risk the wrath of the cabin crew.0
