Posting a wedding dress internationally

Hi,

I am currently selling my wedding dress on ebay and have received a bid from a buying in the Netherlands. Can anyone give any hints and tips about sending bulky items abroad and who best to use?

The dress weighs about 7 or 8lbs if that's of any help!

Ended up using dhl as they were cheapest - however it varies depending on weight and destination.

I was posting heavy boxes to Spain. They arrived quickly, no probs.

I'd probably use a courier service, the one I normally use is interparcel.com and I find that Fed-Ex's service advertised as 2-5 day normally arrives (I send from NW UK to southern Germany) within 24 hours and costs far less than the Royal Mail's 5-10 day service. If you already know the box you'd send it in measure its dimensions and guess the weight and use the website to get a quote so you know exactly how much to charge
