is it saying power surge on your iPod or the desktop?Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0

For the desktop - is the usb port you are plugging into part of a hub or is it one that is directly mounted off the motherboard. Some machines that have a number of usb ports on the front of the case are not actually mounted off the motherboard and are just connected to the motherboard with a cable. These types sometimes can't supply enough power for the ipod or unpowered external drives. Espescially if there's some other devices connected to the hub. Is there something else plugged into the adjacent usb port?
Have you tried all the usb ports on the pc?0 -
It's on my desktop. I'll try the other ports, I had tried almost all of them. My keyboard & mouse also using USB ports and I had tried taking all USB perphials out but doesn't make a difference.Help me to help you :santa2:0

Is it a Dell desktop? If so, I believe there's a patch for this issue on their website.0
