Registered for eSaver (Santander) - now want to cancel. How?

A couple of days ago I registered to open an eSaver (issue 2) account with Santander. I did it without doing thorough research :silenced:, and now want to cancel as I've 'fixed' my ISA with HSBC (they had rendered it inactive as I hadn't used it in so long). The eSaver isn't officially 'open' until I send them my ID etc, is it possible to let them know I've changed my mind or will I be told off? Thanks.

Try write to Freepost RRTE-TAGZ-SLXA, Santander Account Openings – eSaver (Issue 2), 9 Nelson Street, Bradford BD1 5AN with your account number or application reference number (OLA) and ask them to cancel your application. I guess it should work.0

Should be no problem. But your priority should be to inform Santander not to proceed, and specifically ensure that you didn't (or cancel if you did) give any cheque or DD or transfer instructions.
As far as I know (perhaps perversely) it should still be 'legal' to apply for and open 3 cash ISA's in the same tax year, as long as you only contributed to one of them!0 -
As far as I know - the eSaver is not an ISA - so what is the issue here?0
