Boss had an accident in the work van yestarday. The accident's fairly cut and dry- 3P driver came through a red light, doing well over the speed limit. Captured on CCTV, and a few witnesses. No injuries to any party, thankfully.
He's fully comp with 3P access on his personal insurance, and fully comp on work insurance for the van.
Do his personal insurers need to know, will it affect his personal insurance in any way?

Yes, you are bound to inform your insurer of all incidents.
He needs to enquire off them if this will affect future premiums - different companies have different policies over non fault incidents.0 -
Thanks Quentin.
He thought he'd be alright since the insurance for the work van is a separate policy through work- I'd thought it may have had an impact on his private insurance. Will pass on to him!0
