videosenders (Maplins)

bought one for £49-99 and after 24 hours of trying with 4 different TVs and every combination we can think of we can't send a tv picture from anywhere to anywhere.
Can anyone help? The (foreign language translated into english) instructions are useless and I dread the Maplins no returns process...
Maybe be it's faulty but I started to feel worried when Maplins said once you open the box there's no returns.

It would help to know the make and model number or at least Maplin's product code (or link to the product on their site) for the videosender.0

Connect source Via scart to sender, connect receiver via scart to 2nd TV
Seems fairly basic set up, what are you attaching the sender to? the more info you can give on your situation the more easy to solve.0 -
Yes it does seem easy but
we started with my new TV in lounge and my nearly new sky + box. Upstairs through 2 walls was the previous big TV I'd been using (about 3 years old). Not a sausage. We tried every variable we could. Sky box had 2 scart outputs - tried both. videosender had 8 channels - tried them all with both skybox scarts. TV upstairs had 2 input scarts. Tried them in combination with all the others. Nowt
Then tried a tv in the dining room which was in direct line of sight and about 6m away from main tv. All combinations tried as before - Zip.
All this took 6 hours of juggling leads etc.
My conclusion is it's faulty.Beep Beep0 -
One is the transmitter and the other is the receiver.
Have you got the the right way around?0 -
I even asked some teenagers and they couldn't make it work. And relatives and neighbours...
However on Saturday I took it back (to a different Maplins) and the staff sorted out a refund without quibbling.Beep Beep0 -
For about the same money an independent cable guy would probably be able to run a cable neatly to the 2nd viewing position.0
