Sometimes i think its soooooo easy to get bogged down with worrying about things - when after all it really is just a day ( i know how important everything seems right now) but your sister is young and alive - be happy that she will be there - and happy in what she is wearing - my mum made me wear a dress to a wedding at 16 and all of the piccies were of me in a dress - but scowling! lol - not so good! - she is unique as are you - so just chill a little - and worry about the bigger things - not a loving sister with indivduality - its your day and it sounds to me like your stressing yourself out over something that you cannot change - enjoy this time before your wedding - as before you know it - it will all be over and you will regret wasting valuable time and memories - in years to come you and your sister will look back at your photos and laff about it all :0) x0

Hi, Just wanted to say that I think I understand why you are upset. It is hard when you are planning the biggest day of your life. I can understand what people are saying about having her there and being happy she is, However this doesn't make your disapointment any less valid .
If you tell her you don't mind what she wears she may even change her own mind.0 -
Hi,
Just wanted to say your Dad must be very amenable - there would have been NO discussion about what I wore for my Uncle's wedding as a teenager with my Dad paying for it. Oh, actually, I would have been allowed to choose from M and S, Monsoon or John Lewis!
But can also see the reasoning behind lots of other posters saying be glad she's making the effort.

TBH, it could be SOOO much worse.....teeny short skirt, cropped top, too much flesh.....I think she will look smart and individual, and will feel comfortable and relaxed in her chosen outfit, which she may not do if required to wear a dress just to look good on the photos.
I have 2 sons, DS2's girlfriend is on our wedding photos from 3rd September, they had slpit up before we chose which ones went in the album, so I have a very pretty young woman in a lovely teal one-shouldered dress who is no longer part of the family in my album!0 -
I really like the outfit!
You won't be able to tell on the photos they are denim, they'll just look like black trousers. And it could be worse - she could be wearing the leopard skin trousers on the day!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

You must be younger than me - my option would have been Laura Ashley or Laura Ashley :rotfl:0 -
Compared to what my now SIL wore at my wedding that is incredibly smart. I had no idea what she was wearing till she turned up and I was disgusted tbh. It was like she couldnt even be bothered to have made an effort for her own brothers wedding. So I can understand why your so hurt and upset but really that looks really smart - it might not be what you want but at least its not a LOT worse, She could have gone the other way and turned up in a short short skirt and a very low cut top with some stripper heels!:staradminTrying to save money to give our family a better future:staradmin:staradminDD#27/10/07, DD#2 13/02/12 :staradmin0
