CPW/E2Save - Nightmare
Over two weeks ago I ordered a Nokia 6230i through e2save on a cashback deal having having had similar contracts with CPW in the past. Unfortunately the handset arrived without a battery. Simple I thought - I will email them and they will send one.
To cut a long story short, I have emailed, telephoned umpteen times, been told numerous !!!! and bull stories as to when I might recieve the part, none of which has come to fruition.
Today I have recieved the contract bill from Orange and I have contacted them and informed them that I will not settle this account until I have a handset which is up and running. The nice lady at Orange said she would make enquiries at e2save and call me back. I wished her the very best of luck and now await the outcome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Trust me I have had almost the same problem with e2save. For over 2 months, they have been driving me mad. And only after writing a letter to their head office with the names, times and dates of all my correspondence did a manager get back to me this saturday, and have it all sorted out. Try to get through to a manager, (i know they try and make this difficult, but keep on trying). Once they have allocated your problem to a manager, then all managers have a 48 hour turnaround limit to answer your queries. And just to keep things concrete, put this all in writing and send by recorded to their complaints department.

Hi D_M
Thank you for your prompt reply - I am now treating this as sport and looking at any tactics to defeat an opposition who take every oppotunity to abuse their customers. Saw Charles Dunstone on the tele not so long back and he stated that he was working hard to eradicate this sort thing - he must have gone on holiday. I am thinking of making an effort to contact him direct. Has anyone got an an address or email for Dunstone?
Many thanks again.

As far as I know, there's someone on this forums who's tried contacting cpw directors 4 times, but has not had one reply nor a confirmation of having received the complaint letter. Everytime I call e2save, there seems to be someone who is always less informed than the previous one. False promises of callbacks, supervisors who leave accounts hanging, and reps who like to put the phone down on you asap by saying "We will get back to you" seems to be the norm nowdays.
In fact, I am not even sure whether the call on Saturday was in response to my complaint letter or to a call I had placed two days ago on Thursday to complain again verbally!0 -
e2save are the worst ever, I would try and return it and go with just about anyone else, they delivered me a battered K800i with no battery, and it took a 7 day warning e-mail to say if they didn't collect it that it would go in the bin, eventually a courier turned up to take it back.....get out now while/if you can!0

Wow that is bad did it come from the CPW central depot in Acton (check the delivery notes and invoices) I got my phones from OSPS no problems but the paperwork said CPW action, actually they did not send me the cashback vouchers for OSPS they sent me E2Save vouchers! Lucky I checked the address with OSPS customer services and they said that is no the address for cash back!!Seth.0 -
