  • Can I just warn you - we went in February with a baby, and it was so bitterley cold that we could not actually go outside without it being almost painful and my son screamed the whole time we were outside even when we just crossed the street. It was minus 30 with the wind chill, so make sure the kids are well kitted out.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

just a bit more to add to the moneysaving in iceland

The Plaza hotel in Reykjavik is 182 pounds for 2 nights on the easyjethotels website. they do a double the difference price promise. https://www.find-rooms.com offer the same 2 nights for 146 pounds.

therefore book the easyjet option, click on contact us page and complete the details. they will send a double refund after 30 days of returning so it would cost 55 overall 110 quid for 2 nights. bargain.

thanks tbeckett100 for all the useful information. i think i will go ahead with the car booking in a few days time, with the discount code u gave me (it took off about 1/4 of original price so its veryyy good!), do u know if the code will be working for long? and can you please tell me how i can obtain any discount avis code? many thanks.

on the hotel, thanks again for the information. i booked our holiday in august, and i think i got a bargain with lastminute. it costs us £150 for return BA flight to iceland and 4 nights of hotel per person.... later on in oct, my bf decided to come, he had to pay £120 just for the flights...

thank you everyone for the information!

you will be fine with that code. just hop on to the discount codes board in this forum and type Avis into search to find the code. cant see it expiring.
