    it's not a mallard, theya re a lot greener, I'm off for a google!

    I think it might be a blue winged teal.

    It's gonan be hard to identify with it';s head covered anyway!
  • It's definitely not a drake as they are a lot more colourful. It seems to match the female though. I'm still searching!

    It's a mallard. (female) the male's have green heads.

    Notice how the legs are orange too, whereas the teal has black legs, although they look very similar

    Is anybody else having problems logging in? Im already registered but keep getting server error when attempting to login. I tried to re-register but it won't allow me to. I have emailed them to see if they have a problem on their website

    If you google images of "female teal", that's what I think it is. Very similar to a mallard, but the coloured flash on the wing is green, not blue. The one in the comp photo is green (at least on my monitor!)
