Currys price match?

I bought a laptop yesterday from Currys at £349. They did not have the laptop in stock but walked across to PC World for me to collect one. At that time pC World were selling it at £399, although there was an offer that might have got the £50 off to take it down to £349 to match Currys.
However, this morning in the paper PC World have the same laptop advertised at £297.
I know it is a long shot but has anyone ever successfully got Currys to price match a PC World price *after* purchase? If so, how did you go about it?
Thanks for any help
Soo

When I was a sale assistant at currys you normally had up to a week after the sale not sure if it its longer to get a price match plus 10 percent of the difference. Its worth asking0

If you've only just bought it, surely you can threaten them by saying you have seen it cheaper elsewhere and want a refund, and will buy it in PC World, unless they give you the difference back.
I did this a few years ago when i bought my PS2, and Dixons advdertised it with a memory card. I told this to Game and they gave me a free memory card!0 -
It was a bit of a struggle but I have a refund of the difference, so thank you Currys.
They said that the PC World offer was a weekend special in that they were paying the VAT, so basically a price match couldn't be done. We went round in circles a bit with me saying that both machines came out of the PC World stock room on the same day an hour apart yet one cost £350 and one cost £297, and Currys said that the machine price was the same but PC World had added a voucher code on the cheaper one that Currys would not match.
However I did get a refund so I am happy. However, it makes me nervous of buying things from Currys as if they won't automatically price match their sister companies it means that you have to knock them down against each other and see which one gives the better deal. Currys did say that they will always price match PC World within 7 days of purchase, unless there is special voucher codes or a special offer involved, which rather suggests that any price matching is likely to fail. I also had to point out that as a customer I have absolutely no idea what codes or discounts PC World are offering, I merely pay what they asked..so if you are looking to price match you may need to ask PC World if the figure you are paying is the 'right' figure or whether there has been a voucher code attributed to it. Otherwise i have no idea how a simple customer like me is supposed to know, I certainly didn't offer any vouchers or get told that any voucher was being applied!
