Hi,
We are looking for the following trip:
Leave UK(any airport) for Nairobi around Dec 11-14. catch a flight from Nairobi to Dubai same day. Return from dubai Jan 10 to Nairobi and have a 3-5 day safari/stay in 4-5 star hotel and then return to UK.
We dont need to arrange accomodation in Dubai but would really appreciate help with arranging flights and stay in Nairobi.
We are 2 adults and 3 kids aged 13, 11, and 8.
thx all

Well, as you're definitely flying Emirates, and don't need Dubai accommodation, i'd go straight to a couple of African specialists, and compare options.
I'd recommend Rainbow Tours or Audley Travel personally.0 -
Thx Sam Bee. I was thinking of using Kenya air rather than emirates. Would kenya airways not have better deals? anyone knows who would be best agents for kenya air?
I have emailed both the companies hopefully they will respond soon.0 -
bump please0

i spoke to Audley who say they wont deal with it as i a dont want accommodation in Dubai and rainbow will come back.. any one any other ideas?0

Don't stay in nairobi hilton whatever. It was our worst experience of a hilton, they shouldn't put their name to it. We flew emirates to dubai and on to nairobi much better standard of airline and on board facilities. Will try and find out hotel a friend stayed in, for you. We didn't use a tour operator.0

thx. I am still looking for the best airline/price to get there also. Has any one travelled Kenya air? how are they?0 -
have to agree with tummy_tank , try to fly emirates........ superb airline , we flew with kenya airways in the summer and they were ok, nothing special
do a search of the travel board - kenya airlines , i asked a question last year about them
iirc kenya air only fly from london , but with emirates you can fly from man, gla etc avoiding costly and time consuming internal flights - we had to wait 5 hours for our connecting flight back from nairobi , which meant we had been travelling for 27 hours by the time we got home !"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
happy travels !!

There is a security guy standing at the lifts ( he holds a machine gun!) and security guys patrolling each floor. Didn't instill confidence on my first trip to Africa! The food i agree was not unpleasant, the room was not up to much at all and had huge security notice.0

As a regular traveller to Nairobi, I'm grateful for the additional security put in place by the hotels. Any traveller should read this before they go.Signature on holiday for two weeks0
