I want a dictaphone for my memory loss!!

Hi, I had a dictaphone a long time ago but seem to have lost it.
Now, I want to replace it(it was an Olympus) but there are so many on the market I have no idea! Digital dictaphone, tape dictaphone,memory built in,pc compatible,folders etc.
I want to talk into it to record thoughts,lists of to do's, just to remember things really but sometimes to record my kids as they are so funny and to go and get the camcorder and come back takes too long and the moment has gone!
I would like a clear sound.
Any ideas? xx
