buy a digital camera in Hong Kong

Travelling to HK in 2 weeks and wanted to buy a new digital camera. Can anyone advise me on the best area/shop to go to for a fair price. I am presuming they will be cheaper there?
Will be staying in Kowloon but will be travelling and sightseeing in other areas.
All advice welcome

The 2 main electrical chains are Fortress and Broadway. They have these everywhere. Not sure if they are cheapest though. All of the malls will have electrical stores, they are usually all grouped together on the same floor/area. Is there any model you are looking for in particular?

I have had several Cannon models over the years so am very familar with them but just used a friend's Fuji and was impressed with the range of features for the money. Looking for a small camers to take on holiday not a super duper SLR.
Currently looking on the net to refine choice so still open to suggestions

We got a Canon Powershot G6 last year and found it to be compact in size but gives great results!

The best advice is to go into several shops and get them down to their best price and then say you'll think about it and come back.

Don't go for the price they have in the shop. We did the same for a memory stick for our camera, and we spent an evening popping in and out of the shops asking for best prices and then went back to the cheapest place and did the deal.

I can't remember what side it was we did the shopping now. I remember we crossed using the Star Ferry and it was on the side where the art centre was and the same side as Raja suits (which are great to haggle for a bargain for a tailor made suit!)

Mongkok got loads of camera shops and chain electrical stores, worth to have a look. but remember look for a few shops before you acutally buying.
