Just posting this to let you know of my recent experience with Royal Mail. I sent an item back to an Ebay seller and the parcel was never delivered. I waited the 15 days before making the claim to Royal Mail. After a couple of weeks of hearing nothing I called them up and was told that there was a backlog of dealing with new claims and it would be dealt with in due course. Some weeks passed and still nothing....so I called them again, to be told that the claim form had never been received! They then sent me a letter with a pre paid envelope to resubmit the documetation in regards to my claim. That letter was sent to the wrong address and it arrived today 5 days late. So after posting a parcel at the begining of Sept I am still waiting for the claim process to begin. I have posted the documentation back to them today, so I wait with baited breath to see what the next episode has in store.0

I regularly send items overseas, on each occasion use interparcel. Type in destination, weight and dimensions. They check all couriers to that destination and display. I have tried going direct to the chosen company to compare and found going direct is far more expensive eg DHL were £100 more for the same parcel.
You can book online, arrange collection from where-ever suits you, print off customs documents and bar code which you stick on your parcel. So far they have never let me down and you can track online. I had great fun watching a parcel to Malaysia. Typically a parcel to America will take 3-5 days.
