Travelling around the world

  • In my slightly younger days I travelled extensively including a year in Austrailia and the Far East. Personally I would not go for a round the world ticket since you are a little constrained. Try not to see too much, but take time to experience a country. Austrailia is a great place to start - get a 12month working visa (I guess these are still possible for under 30's), travel and work a bit, then move on. Most of Asia is great. North America is a little expensive and I found a little dull, however west coast is better. Europe is also good (plus you can work if you need a little cash). Not been to South America (intend to go when the kids are older) but I understand that it is generally ok. Just take your time and enjoy - you can always go again.

The Far East is superb for living and eating out cheap. Beautifull part of the world, as safe as you can be anywhere nowadays, friendly and loads to see.
