Bankcruptcy?

To keep it breif.....

I owe about £67,000 all on usual loans etc... and not 1 thing to show for it!

ive tried cccs failed on a dmp.... im 26 in an unsteady relationship of 5 years and two young children, i rent and im the only one that works, im loosing control and all grip on reality!

I havnt paid my creditors for almost 3 years.

Im really cheesed of today got a letter from bank saying that 2 cheques havnt cleared (total £28) bank charges £78.... im soo mad

Not only that got a " notice of application for attachment of earnings order" from local court, if i do not reply i could face 14 days in prison! A creditor has court up with me and wants £17,011 what can i do im skint and behind on my rent and other bills!!!

Bankcruptcy is this my only option? according to the experts, yes.. but its about £450ish to go thru with it.... which i cant afford! Plus in my rent contract good bye house if i go bankcrupt!

Aww, you're actually in the wrong section here, hopefully someone will be around to move you over and then you'll get lots of help and advice.

One thing you might want to do is start proceedings to recover unfair bank charges like that £78 you mention.

Have a read of this while your thread's waiting to be relocated.

I can't advise you on the debt but as far as all the bank charges you have had .go to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk and register there and you will have all the past 6 years charges back within 9 weeks , with interest .That will go towarss some of the debt at least
Good luck and I hope you get the advice you are looking for
  • Thanks for the link.... all help is greatfully recieved!

Just because he's been irresponsible in the past doesn't mean he wants to continue to be. He's trying to face up and has 2 young children giving him the motivation. He's come to the right place to be helped, I hope you don't put him off with that diatribe.

Sorry Jackdoor but I dont think your kind of attitude is any helpfull. You know nothing of his situation to make such coments.
Me and my family are in debt... not as much as OP but we are having a hard time as well.
My husband was an aircraft engineer who broke his wrist. He was out of work for over 1.5 years and had to have several operations before it healed up and could go back to any kind of work. Since he worked as a self employee we had no medical cover or insurance to help us out.
We went from earning 3.500 a month to my measly wage of 800 and we are still struggling today nearly 4 years later due to the debt we got into.
    Think before you speak, please
