You may get a better response in the overseas trips..
We went to Dublin in November but flew so can't comment on travel from Ferry, but with regards to food and drink, yes it is more expensive than UK and most of the rest of Europe. I would be budgeting between 10-12 euros for the 2 drinks- obviously will depend where you drink, but that is what we were paying as an average for 2 drinks. I don't really know how much wine is to be fair- it may be more, I wasn't drinking it. Food will vary ( as it does everywhere). An example- Pizza Express in England is around £8-10 for a main, Milano (the same thing but different name) is around 15 euros for exactly the same thing. Other places we ate were charging around 12 euros for burger and chips style meals. 6 euros for a sandwich in a nice cafe....but it really will vary depending where you go. There are some 2 / 3 courses type offers which you may want to look out for if you eat early/less popular spots. There are plenty of fab places to eat and drink though, you're bound to have a good time.0 -
