I would take a regular look at TopTable - regular offers at most known restaurants - usually lunchtimes but some great deals at otehr times too.The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
wow that will be pricey hehe
id rather have a mug of tea at the cafe !!!
would be a lovely experiance though -- tea at the ritz that is !!0 -
I have never seen any offers for Tea at the Ritz, but don't let that stop you going. I honestly think that it's excellent value. It may cost between £60 and £70 for two, but that is the total cost for a unique experience.
Not only can you enjoy the overly ostentatious surroundings, with matching guests, but you are served an endless assortment of crustless sandwiches, cakes, petit fours and endless pots of tea and coffee.
Last time, we spent nearly three hours there – moving from the tea-room to sit in the foyer, people watch, and listen to the piano player play anything we requested.
It’s all brazenly flamboyant, and not something you’d wish to do too often.
Nevertheless, a very good way to spend a few hours on a rare occasion. Possibly a bit more expensive than a meal out – but much posher!!0 -
I'd be very surprised if you found a special offer for tea at the Ritz - I don't think they have problems getting full bookings at full price! I've been to a fancy tea at a hotel in Mayfair, and IMHO it's a bit of a waste of money. I don't know about you but I can't manage 30 pounds' worth of cucumber sandwiches and scones!! But I do know that lots of people like the experience. If you are looking for a cheaper version, try The Wolsley or Fortnum and Mason.Snootchie Bootchies!0

i went to the savoy recently. We didn't get any deals, but it really was a great afternoon out. I would highly recommend it. (also being a money saver I cursed at having to go there and pay the money. but it was worth every penny. It was lunch and tea all in one. I didn't eat again all day)

Thank you all for you're suggestions!! sounds great! and I will let you know how we get on:money:

i'm going to Tea at the Ritz this sunday!
I bought a voucher on Lastminute.com last year for £70, but they seem to have gone up in price. There is such a voucher on ebay for £50...assuming there isn't a bidding war at the end, grabbing vouchers people probably received as presents might be your best bet.0
