Hotel bookings Dec 2011

Last year we were able to get a great bargain by booking our hotel for December 2010 in Jan 2010.
However, I have been looking at various places including Hilton, Hotels.com and Expedia and there seems to be very little choice for Dec 2011.
Is this a period which will have more on the market the later I leave it or are people just getting very organised and there genuinely arent many rooms available?

Hello Foggster. I would try searching again within the next couple of weeks. I am a reservations manager for a hotel in Glasgow and my boss didnt get the chance to upload the 2011 rates(for the later part of the year) before she finished for the Xmas Break, but I know this will be her first priority when she goes back to work. Hotels will probs be concentrating more on Valentines and Summer prices at this moment, but by end of January you may see a change in the rates.
