    Xmas Saver!
I didn't travel abroad till I was 28, and never looked back, since then I've been to Tunisia (9 times), Cyprus (2), Turkey, Dom Rep, Gambia, Mexico and have a list of places I want to see.

The 1st time I brought a wedding ring, just cheapie from Argos, as i was a single traveller, just handy for out and about.

Single room supplements can zap up the price, so I always look at that 1st before falling in love with the hotel, I got stung when I went to Mexico, as my single rm supplement was £500....

Personally I prefer to go all-in, yes its a bit dearer at the start, but everything is taken care off and your money is urs.

My daughter is 8, took her to Tunisia last yr, and she loved it, shes decided she won't stay anywhere below 4 star and only likes all-inclusive! We went same time as some friends, they originally wanted to stay in same hotel, but they were a bit unsure of price, they went back to a hotel that they had stayed at before, they had the fortnight on half board, and for the 2 of them - £200 each cheaper, their daughter came for the 2nd week, - again she was hb, when we sat down chatting on the last day they worked out they had spent nearly1k on drinks, snacks, lunch etc.......
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Nuts and bolts......

    On the day

Check your flight times -Flight times often change between time of booking and actually travelling-Make sure you are looking at the tickets which will have been printed last rather than your confirmation.

If your airport has more than one terminal make sure you know which one you are departing from (It's not a nice feeling to look for your flight and it isn't on the board as you're in the wrong place)

Allow lots of time to get to the airport and ahere to check in times-If it says check in 2 hours before-plan to arrive three hours before

If your airline offers online check in -use it. Less hassle and queuing at the airport.

Once you are checked in -go straight through security. There's many more seats/shops/ eating places through security at most airports and sometimes security can take a while and you don't want to get delayed.

If you are planning on buying "duty free" make sure you know what the high streetprice is for the goods you may want to buy-some are cheaper but some aren't

Don't lose your boarding card-It will be given to you at check in and will need to be shown going through security, buying duty free and getting on the plane

If you smoke-have that last ciggy before you go though security-there's no smoking anywhere after security

Are these the sort of things you mean ?
