Can a carpet stair runner be fitted over this?

Hi all - just had some plumbing done and pipes cut across stairs.
Also there is an old elec cable running on same step - see pic.

Is it possible to fit a stair runner over the pipes and /or elec cable, presuming the fitter is aware and knows to avoid them? Or do either of them need to be relocated?
Really grateful for any advice fitters could offer.
Thanks

If your having a runner on that area the electric cable will be visible and look poor IMO. is that a full stair case or just one step? The pipework will be covered by the underlay/carpet however........0

I'm going to try and get the elec cable rerouted - it's just on one step. Seems a bit odd that there wasn't any other option but i'm no expert. Just wanted to make sure the pipes wouldn't stop the fitter putting down grippers or whatever...0

pull the cable up and chop some of the wood away. Refix flush with the step.0

No, they will just be able to put gripper either side etc0

Thanks for tips - much appreciated. Happy New Year to you!0

And those CH pipes are just asking to have a carpet fitter put a tack through them...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

It doesn't look very good does it and the pipes are just waiting for the carpet fitter to nail em. It must have been done like this due to a beam or steel joist under the front riser of the stair. If you can get them to reroute the electric cable I would suggest a length of timber 25mm scotia beading across the width of the stairs scribed around the copper pipes which will conceal and protect them and when painted in make it all neat again.
