You do have to buy a minimum of £10 Skype credit to get this, but if you're buying it anyway, it's a pretty good deal.0

in fact, not £10...should be £10 plus 15% VAT, comes to a total £11.5
I paid for it last week. Got an e-mail saying I was entitled for free calls in 3 days times. I used it after 3 days, it was free. But I received another e-mail the 5 day saying I was not entitled for the free calls. I am still using it...although a risk myself.
They are very confusing...0 -
I never have got the gist of Skype, not when there are companies like talktalk which offer free calls to other talktalk customers but never mind.
Could anyone tell me whether it is worth using or if it is a waste of time, I don't use my landline to call out very often, so is it worth it?
ThanksNice to save.0 -

If they advertise that then they have to comply. I for one will be quick to complain to advertising standards and OFT if they don't.
I havent yet made the experience because I'm worried about the quality.
I found that calls abroad are a bit poor quality
UK calls are better but I think I may need some better equipment

You need to check the set up with your Sounds and Audio Devices Properties which you can find in the Control Panel.
Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices --> Audio and Voice (you need to choose your sound card for your Sound playback and Sound recording rather than your phone.0 -
