Ideas of where to buy good quality furniture that is reasonably priced

Hi. I am looking to buy a coffee table, side table and a TV cabinet. I would really like to buy something that is of good quality but at the same time not very expensive. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. TIA.

forgot to add that recently , we bought a lovely dressing table and stool from ebay for £25 , spent a further £40 on paint and material (to recover stool) and now it looks miles better than the ones selling for £500

Some of the charity shops sell furniture, our local hospice has some beautiful stuff.

I suggest Ikea- flatpack has come a long way from glue and dowel joints!

Seriously, the stuff there is really reasonable and they cater for all styles (wacky, traditional, minimalistic etc) and the stuff is really sturdy. I have had flat pack stuff from mfi, argos et al and it found them to be very poor quality by comparison.

I liked the look of a lounge cabinet in M & S recently, the glazed top was £800 and the sideboard base another £700.

We drew exactly what we wanted on a sheet of paper with measurements etc and a local cabinet maker did a great job for £900 delivered.

The M & S cabinet was Oak with some hardboard backing etc, ours is solid oak and looks fabulous, have a look around for a cabinet maker and see what they charge.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have been putting an eye on ebay for the past couple of weeks but haven't found something I really like. I might have a look in charity shops around here but as we've only moved recently I don't know where all the better ones are. Any other suggestions, please???
