Need good quality short handled make up brushes..

I'm looking for some new make up brushes, specifically a fan brush and some eye shadow brushes. I don't mind paying for better quality brushes, as I hate it when brushes shed hairs all over my face. I also have sensitive skin so I can't bear scratchy bristles.
I've seen loads of brushes that are good quality but I want short handled ones.

Bobbi Brown used to make all her brushes in two lengths, I have some in the travel length that she's now discontinued. They are a perfect length for what I'm looking for...I've had the brushes for approx 15 years and they are still going strong. They were expensive but have been well worth the investment. Not sure if her brushes are still as good, but anyway she only does the longer ones.

Can anyone recommend any brushes that are about 6" long from the end of the handle to tip of the bristles? Just to be even more awkward, I don't want tiddly mini brushes, I'm too ham fisted!

  • I use Bodyshop and Lily Lolo brushes
    Good quality, OK prices
Not sure if they're the right length for your needs

body shop ones are very good, even cheaper on ebay.
  • I've not had any personal experience with them but I've heard Smashbox do short handled brushes? Might be worth a look x

I have some Body Shop brushes that are lovely and soft, but I think they're a little too long compared to what you're looking for (I keep these at my bf's house, so can't measure them for you right now).

I also have some Ecotools brushes. They are also lovely and soft, and they are just under 18 cm long. They might suit your needs? I got mine off eBay after reading good reviews for them on here, but they are also sold in stores in case you want to see them first.

MAC usually do mini brush sets around this time of year don't they? :)
  • I cut the handles down on my normal brushes!
