Two LTSB loans - both with PPI - wish to reclaim

Hope someone can advise me....

I have two LTSB loans which both have PPI on them which in hindsight and the reading of this forum, I wish to reclaim the PPI on.

My immediate question is can I email a signed claim form to LTSB for each PPI claim or will they just ignore it sent this way?

Phil

    Hi Phil

For the reasons you have for being mis sold the ppi, then give it a go.
I would personally send the reclaiming questionnaires by hardcopy post/recorded delivery, although there is no harm in emailing them "as well" so this way they have both ways.

They have 8 weeks to give a decision and should keep you informed of the progress of your reclaims.

More on link below with the reclaiming questionnaires, that replaced the template reclaiming letters on this site.

  • Hi all
I took a loan out in May 2008 and recently I had realized that PPI was mis-sold for me because of following reasons.
I was not asked if I or my husband had any existing health insurance. Actually I have been covered by my husband's health insurance since August 2006. The next fact proving the mis-selling is that iin spite of joint bank loan the first person is covered only despite my part-time temporary job excluding my husband' s high regular income.
Actually recently I have cancelled my ppi over the phone. To my suprise the each of 20 remaining monthly repayments has been reduced by 8 pounds only from 210 to 2002.Please note that a new agreement was at 8.3% APR however the previous one at 8.9% APR.Obviously I have made a claim against Lioyds on 11 November 2010 then one week later I have got letter saying the have to gather some facts.
Could anyone advise me if I have any chances to get my money back regarding total ppi amount I have already paid and also reducing the current monthly repayment by the amount ppi added to the first agreement which should be 37.50?

    Thank iyou in advance .

    Hi and welcome

The fact that the repayments have not reduced by much really is because the cooling period of cancellation is that normally of 30 days, if cancelled some time it doesn't seem to reduce by much, but for the reasons you have been mis sold, and if successful you should get back all you have paid into the ppi, plus interest etc.

Keep at them, they may try by just giving you an offer at first, but you can ask them to reconsider for the full amount paid into the account due to your reasons.

    Good luck.

    Insurance premiums are not reclaimable.

However, if it was mis-sold to you, you might be entitled to your money back if you complain.

Health insurance is different to PPI, so that would never be a reason for mis-sold PPI.

    - Health insurance would pay hospital fees etc.
    - PPI, covers loan/mortgage/credit card payments if you are off work sick or made redundant.
  • Hi Roonaldo
Thank you for your advice Actualy the major reason for mis-selling was that despite the joint loan the first person was covered only even in my case when I was employed as a part-time worker working less than 16 hours a week. My husband's regular high salary has been excluded. We took the laon out in May 2008 and two months later I was sacked and couldn;t make a claim because of exclusion so as you can see the PPI policy was worthless for me. I do not even want to mention that the salepserson was pushy as welll as storngly advised us the take the loan out right now without giving time to think it over. I still believe that not only ppi but also loan was mis-sold for me however I didn't miss even one repayment so far.:)

    Regards,

    Daniels
