Tax Credits Award - Unknown recipient

This morning I received a Tax Credits award letter for a name I don't even remotely recognise to my home address.
I recognise it's an award letter from having received them myself.

I immediately got on the phone and let hmrc know.

I've not opened it (hmrc told me not to) and will be sending it back marked 'not known at this address' as asked.

I'm really worried that our weekly tax credits payments may be stopped by this, they are launching an investigation, the woman I spoke to at Preston couldn't tell me whether or not they would be.

Does anyone know if this is going to cause us problems? Or where we could ask?
