Payments of benefits over the christmas period 2010

Hi. Does anyone know the payment dates for benefits over the Christmas period? Due to get paid on Monday 27th and then income support on Tuesday 28th December. According to the DWP website, the 27th and 28th are UK bank holidays for England and Wales (Christmas day bank holiday and boxing day bank holiday) but it doesnt confirm whether we will be getting paid earlier or not. Plus on Tax Credits website, it states that the 28th is only a bank holiday for Northern Ireland. Yet when i rang Tax Credits last week, there was an automated message saying that if people are due to get paid on 27th or 28th, they will get their payments by Christmas Eve! IM CONFUSED! Theres usually some kind of notice in the post office by now stating what payment dates are going to be but not seen one yet plus it doesnt tell you on DWP website either. Im trying to work my finances out cos ive usually got everything sorted by now but due to unforseeable events, im sooo behind with buying Christmas presents!!!

Payments due 24th, 27th & 28th should be paid on the 23rd, certainly for DWP benefits.

No idea what HMRC are doing.

Why dont the DWP update their site to inform people of changes to payments over Christmas? It was the same last year...wasnt meant to get paid early according to HMRC (Child Benefit) but i did! Got usual CB payment on 22nd, wasnt expecting another til Tues 29th (stayed the same as it wasnt a bank holiday) but i got paid on 23rd!

hi does any one no what day i will get paid i am due my tax credits on wednesday the 29th but i had extra money in on xmas eve would that of been from tax credits thanks

my is was due next weds 29 but it is showing in my account with natwest today.if the payment you recived was the same amount as your tax credit then i would say yes you have had it
