we have had a letter from a company called wecan:claimit (part of the wecan group). Has anyone heard of these? I was wondering whether they really can assist in claiming back PPI.
Thanks in anticipation from a first time poster.

Hi and welcome
I have not heard of these to be honest, you can check them out, or contact the link below to check them out, but to be honest personally if you have a reclaim, its just as simple to have a go yourself which will only cost you posting at your post office.
They only do more or less what we do on here free of charge.

The can assist by doing about 30 seconds work and sticking a first class stamp on it.
Claims companies use the same template letters you can get on the web. They usually fail to personlise them with your reasons why you were mis-sold and generally the complaints handler at the firm will look at many claims companies letters less favourably than those that have come direct from a consumer who has personlised the complaint.
So, if you want to lose x% plus 20% VAT and possibly an upfront fee as well to get a claims company with a lower success rate than personal complaints to do the work that will take you about 10-15 minutes then go for it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
