Quick Daylight Lamp Question

I'd like a daylight lamp, me for sewing and OH for reading the paper. The ones I've seen advertised have very ugly (to my mind) bases. Is it possible to buy just the lamps and fit them into any base I have at home? And if so, where would I get one? TIA

Yes, you can, I found an Amazon link but you can get from EBay too.

I get my replacements from here for my clock but notice the thread, see if they have one that'll fit yours....it took about 3 days to arrive

You can buy daylight lamps in our local sewing machine shop, so I would think that they are likely to be available in lots of outlets.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Thank you so much. Now I know they exist, I'll investigate further. Why didn't I think of googling????
