£450 per person, unless you're on benefits in which case it'll be £360 per person.

  • It is £475 to petition for bankruptcy. If you are on benefits, you can be let off the court fees which are £150 - which means you pay £325.

I went bankrupt on the 3rd of this month.

It cost £325 - only because I didn't have to pay the fee of £150 as I am on benefits so if you aren't in receipt of benefits, it will cost you £475 in total.

Can he open a basic bank account after he is bankrupt or is it better that he does it before
  • I think he can do it either time. But best to do it before.
