Hi Everyone,
Totally new to this site, looking for a bit of advise. Travel abroad with regularity. Use my Halifax Master credit and debit card. Read a few days here that the most convenient card to travel abroad was the Halifax Clarity; consequently applied for it online but it wasn't successful.
I contact the Halifax to find out why, after been put throw several answer machines and various departments, I managed to speak with one of the representatives who basically told me what I had already been told by their online services.
No further reasons as to why, not very helpful.
I've been with the Halifax for 10 years now. I have some savings, took a few personal loans and credit cards all which has been paid off and are current. Additionally, my monthly salary and private payments from clients go straight into my Halifax account each month for 10 years.
All in all, I'm consider myself a average client, who despite of having gone threw a bit of the struggle in the past has managed to paid all outstanding debts, including the many bank charges applied to my account.
I don't know what to do now. I think it is just fair that after all this time, I would get more consideration rather than just brush off when
applying for one of their products which could be obviously of great benefit to me.
So my question is:
Should I complain to the Halifax? If so, what should I tell them?
or
should I just switch accounts to another bank? And if so, to which one?
I appreciate any advise you may have.

Perhaps they aren't expecting to make much money out of you and thus declined the card, sometimes 'too perfect' customers aren't profitable enough.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
