Stalling acceptance

If I had an interview on Tuesday and they said they might call me back for a 2nd interview next week
and have another tomorrow which is just one interview - if I am offered the second job before I know if I will be called back for a 2nd interview for the first job - how can I stall the process for a bit without seeming disinterested etc?
I would prefer job A but job B is quite good too (Assuming either of them want me!)
A I applied directly
B is through an agency

If you still want the second job after going for an interview, (and most of the time you would do), then I'd take the second job. The first one might never come through.0

I'd ring and ask them.
When I was in a similar position some years ago (not waiting for 2nd interview, but waiting to hear about previous interview before going for another interview for a different job) I just rang the first ones and openly said I needed to know if there was any likelihood of getting that job as I needed to know how to approach the interview. They ummed and aahed a bit then told me yes, they were going to offer me the job. They then asked me if I was still going to go to the other interview and seemed a bit miffed when I said yes!
As it happens I didn't like the sound of the second job so accepted the first one anyway.
Hope all goes well for you, anywayI want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

A job in the hand and all that.
Always accept the first job offered [if you would want to DO that job] and if offered the second, and you want that - then accept that and then let the first people know. Never stall! Just accept it and if the landscape changes then make a decision. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I am in a similar position but with my current employers wanted a chance to offer me a package to stay, a job offer on the table from another company which has already been revised to offer more money as I rejected the first offer and now I have just had an interview for another job that is leeting me know in 3 weeks!! Ans I really want the job I interviewed for today as it's more what I'm interested in doing.
So let me know how you get on, might help me out with making my decisions up.0 -

Wow - what a great position to be in, even if you're not sure what to do! :beer:I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this

Since you cant see into the future Id accept job B and see if job A comes through and when it does and if you still prefer job A then apologise to job b and take job A0
