  • Financial Adviser perhaps? Could also mean 'nothing' required but I doubt it.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.

on that site, dont use any filter on qualifications. Its highly flawed. For example, there have been different qualifications over the years. All to the same level but just different names. If you pick one of those qualifications, it will only show advisers with that particular qualification and not that with the equivalent. This can usually filter you down to 1 or 2 responses 50 miles away.

Just use the postcode filter to begin with. There are two levels of response as well. Paid for entries and free entries. Dont assume the bright, more detailed advisers are better because they have a glossy entry. It just means they paid more. You often find the more successful advisers dont pay for any advertising as they dont need to.

Avoid the national phone numbers and non local addresses as this usually means salesforce. That means you end up seeing someone working with a salesforce mentality (league tables and incentives) and not in full receipt of the commission so they cant discount much.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
