The Christmas market is always good for a wander round, and getting in the festive mood!0

there is a train from the airport into the city, it takes about 15 mins. the cheapest way would be by bus but will take an hour. what sort of things do you like to do, museums, sport, shopping etc? there are the christmas markets (with german beer tents etc) and a the skating rink in spinningfields. there are 80k+ students in manchester so there is bound to be life on a monday!we have love enough to light the streets.0

Most of the bars are in and around the Deansgate. You won't be short of options here. Not too sure about clubs though.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hey there drenner,
Me and the girlfriend were in manchester mon - weds of this week. The christmas markets do have quite a few beer stalls on them but they are quite expensive.from £3 up to £4 a pint for most of it.But some of it is stuff you wont get anywhere else so I suppose as a one off its probably worth trying something different.Even on students earnings haha. There is a bar near to the Manchester wheel which we did not go in called the North pole bar which I assume is something like an ICE bar.Again something different but unsure about prices for that.
In the Printworks on Monday night the nightclub OPUS has a "we Love the 90's" night.90p entry and selected drinks 90p all night.Probably more up your street haha. There was a decent sized queue outside when we walked past at about 2315.Again didnt go in so dont know what its like.
There is also a very cheap pub next to the Manchester wheel. Its a Samuel Smith;s Pub called The Oyster Catcher I think. No well known brands as it sells all the breweries own beers but its good stuff and cheap.
Hope This Helps

Sinclair's Oyster Bar is what you're thinking of. Fantastic little place. Great beer (not that Carling / Fosters / Carlsberg nitro-keg crap) and a great little atmosphere.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I highly recommend Font on New Wakefield Street (off Oxford Road) great for cocktails! Also depending on what you are into 5th Avenue is always fun if you are looking for a place to dance
