O2 Contract

Hello,

I signed up to an 24 month iPhone contract 18 months ago. (6 months left).

The iPhone has taken a bit of a beating of recently, and has started running slowly, the screen is cracked and the overall condition of the phone is pretty shocking.

I'm enquring as to what the chances are of O2 buying me out of the remainder of my contract or voiding it with the offer of me signing up to another 24 month contract on a new phone. (Blackberry Torch for example).

Has anyone had any success with this in the past?

-Regards,

:)

You can pay off the rest of the contract and get a new iPhone contract. But you need to pay for the handset, which when it adds up can be costly.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

This is something i'm not looking to do. My enquiry was more on the lines of being able to get out of an O2 contract that has six months left to run as the phone is defunct. :o lol.

Lol nah no chance of that without paying the remainder of the contract of, normally months left x line rental.
  • Well it is possible but you may have to leave O2. (which could work out for the best haha) My partner recently left O2 for Orange. She had 5 months left on her contract, and called into Orange who offered her 120 pounds to buy out her contract if she took out an 18 month blackberry contract. Just a thought....

My advise would be to go to mobile shops, explain you have 6 months left, and see what they can do. As I say tho, you will more than likely have to leave O2

If your average bill is high enough then O2 will let you upgrade 6 months early. The limits changed quite recently, so I'm not sure what they currently are but I believe its £100 a month. If its less than this you can upgrade 3 months or 1 month early.
