Clues:Birthplace of a celebrated artillery officer in the 19th century, and of an Oscar-winning film director at the beginning of the 20th

this city’s modern-day fame is driven by a pair of museums hell-bent on going places …

as well as a medieval centre, wine routes and hearty pork-based traditional food.

I think the Answer is: Mulhouse,France. (Confirmation please. Thanks EverDec.Circles))

THe birthplace of William Wyler (Dir of Ben Hur) and of General Dreyfuss.

Also home to 2 famous museums, an automobile one and a railway one.

  • Sorry - I know that this should probably go in a new topic rather than a follow-up to last weeks. But I seem to be a bit lacking in permission to do so.

Anyhow, this week's Answer is Turin - based on Juventus (black and white strip was a bit of a hint) and they're getting a new stadium, there was an air disaster in 1934, Superga is a favourite show of Alexa Chunga

My permissions crisis also stops me posting a link, but wikipedia Turin gives much of the detail
