Sorrys guys I know there is loads of requests for London but I am looking for some where for my 30th Birthday. We are looking to go either Sunday 12th Dec to the 14th or 13th to the 15th Dec.
My partner has left it a bit late to book it so I am now frantically trying to book something. I want to try and get something a little bit special but not too pricey ( i know prob hard to get.) Looking at max of about £130 a night. Can anyone recommend anywhere.
We are looking to go see Wicked whilst we are there, as well as go on the London Eye, WinterWonderland at Hyde park and Harrods.
Any assistance as I am getting a little stressed booking this as my partner didnt account for the cost and i am now trying to balance money when we are a bit skint anyway this month. I am not doing anything else for my 30th so would like this to be nice.
thanks for your help in advance.

I'd make do with a Travelodge.
Money saved is money you can spend on other things imo.
Now donning my flame-proof outfit!.....0 -
I know what you are saying Davetrousers but will end up booking something like that if I can find something really nice for the budget I have. I would ideally like something just a little bit more special for my birthday as its the big 30, any other birthday the travelodge I wouldnt have grumbled at.MAY NSD's

You could try the 2for 1 holiday inn link for your dates i.e. 12-14 Dec you could get the 4 star Crowne Plaza Kensington Deluxe Club room for £114.50 per night. It looks like you get access to the Club lounge complimentary items, plus have extras in the room if you click on the description. Shoreditch Crowne Plaza is £74.50 for similar but specifies free drinks and breakfast items etc or £54.50 for a double room . Reviews on tripadvisor below for both.

For the London Eye you can get 2for 1 if you either are travelling into London by train or buy your daily travelcard from a train station (not a tube station)

Wicked reserve the first 2 rows and only sell on the day at the theatre box office when it opens at 10am for £27.50. You could maybe go to the box office on the Monday. They also do best available day seats left also for £27.50. So might be worth considering this.

I went to see Wicked a couple of years ago. Fantastic show!
We stayed here http://www.bestwestern.co.uk/Hotels/Best-Western-Victoria-Palace-83873/Hotel-Info/Default.aspx It is only a few minutes walk away from the theatre. Clean, Quiet, Good breakfast. My friend who lives in London was a bit dubious when she was coming to visit us at the hotel as hotels in that area aren't supposed to be very good, so if you want to stay in that area this one might be an idea.
Also a tip for booking Wicked tickets: We eventually phoned up ticketmaster as t'internet wanted to give us seats really close to the front (not good for a big extravaganza like Wicked). We got our seats for about £30 instead of the usually £60 because they were slightly off to the side, not very much off to the side, we saw everything and our view wasn't blocked in anyway and we were sitting next to the people with £60 tickets.0 -
Thank you susancs, will def take a look at these, and think we will prob go to the box office on the day and see what they have available. I have found the Grange White hall for £100 a night, has anyone stayed here and know if any good.MAY NSD's

Have just checked the Best Western Victoria Palace and they only have a room available on 13th December at £78.53. This is in a separate annex building, don't know what that is like as I stayed in the main building.0

Thank you Madrhino, Can you remember how far you were roughly from the front. i called ticketmaster and they have tickets about 8 rows from front and a few seats in from the end of the row for about £35 which sounds great if still a good view.MAY NSD's

I find Theatre Monkey great for shows as it gives advice on seats.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the help and that i had a great birthday.
We managed to get a hotel for 2 nights for £150 in Waterloo thanks to my brothers hotel connections. Then using Theatre Monkey we got great tickets to Wicked, we sat in X45 - 46 and they were fantastic seats, didnt miss a thing.
We used the 2 for 1 offers from South East Trains to go to Tower of London and London Eye. So overall saved a fortune. Thanks for all your advice.MAY NSD's
