Cheapest way from Newcastle to Blackpool?

I am arranging a stag do during the summer and wondering if anyone can recommend the cheapest coach company to get from Newcastle to Blackpool and back? We will be departing on a Friday and returning on the Saturday.

This is a journey with train/coach I did, last minute from blackpool to newcastle,

I did Nat Express to carlisle and then train across(2/3hours) from carlisle to newcastle,
That was reasonably cheap and took less time.

If you want to try the train and can book the journey in advance, the longer the better then try this;

Newcastle to Carlisle Anytime Return £16.10
Carlisle to Blackpool North Advance single from £6
Blackpool North to Carlisle Advance single from £6
Carlisle to Newcastle Return part of Anytime Return £0

So total Return: £28.10

With advance tickets you have to travel on booked trains, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to catch your Blackpool train from Carlisle.

The only company running a direct service from Newcastle to Blackpool is Classic Buses/Moordale Coaches - 01207 282288

The alternative would be National Express changing in Manchester


Or do you want to hire a coach and driver to take you? Ringing round local coach companies is really the only way to establish costs.
