when we were kids, we didnt have much throughout the year in the way of treats (crisps, pop, endless supply of chocs).
but my mum stockpiled all of the above (and more) for over the christmas period, seeing it all there was amazing
however, we could look at it as much as we wanted but the stash wasnt cracked open until the 20th dec:(.
it felt like we would DIE if the 20th didnt roll around quick enough lol but when it did, OMG! it was like heaven :T
do you have limits on when your stash is allowed to be eaten?

I put 2 small plates on the hearth of the fireplace with sweets from the big christmas quality street tin when I put the tree up (4/5th dec) along with the tree chocs which the kids and hubby can pick at as and when (ok kids have to ask first but you get what i mean), but all the goodies like crisps, biscuits and the actual quality street tin etc dont come out till christmas day night (im so mean )SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £0/£10000

Carlamarie - your post just reminded me, my Mum used to buy chocolate fingers and sweets from the Terrys factory shop when we were little in the 1970s. She stashed them in the blanket chest on the landing and we used to sneakily dip in and scoff the chocolate fingers. We'd then try to look innocent in the week before Christmas when she lifted out all the half empty bags - happy days:hello:

I have an old tin drum that I put next to my large nutcracker soldior and this is filled with a tin of Roses. This goes out with the xmas decs (5th dec this year). Anything else is xmas eve.Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."

We open a few chocs, some pop and crisps / nibbles as we have family over on xmas eve that we do not see during the rest of the xmas break. But usually save our most favourite bits for boxing day onwards, as xmas day is all about the roast and then we have lots of lovely treats at mother in laws in the evening.0

When I was younger my parents didn't get all the goodies out until Christmas eve night! We were allowed one chocolate before bed and that was it until Christmas day. I don't really get anything out now because my 3 year old would eat it all lol, I leave it all in the cupboards and come Christmas day we pig out!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0

Nothing is allowed to be eaten before xmas eve - I keep all the sweets and chocolates in the boot of the car until then as otherwise they would all be gone by the time xmas comes around!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0
