Hello, please can someone offer me some advice as to where I should invest £50k. We have just remortgaged and the cheque arrived today for £50k. Building work for the extension is due to start soon so we will pay the builder in stage payments.
I will need instant access - does anyone have any suggestions please ?
thank you Welshy x

investment advice is regulated and we cant give it on the board.
Most modern investments have no penalty on withdrawal but are not instant access as they need to return the money via bacs or a cheque in the post.
With the short time involved, you shouldnt really be considering investments either but focusing on savings accounts. Not unless you are high risk in nature.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Thank you dunstonh - apologies I phrased my initial post incorrectly, I meant invest as in putting my money into a saving account - are there any good offers out there ?
thank you

No problems with reading thank you. However, I was hoping that a moneysaver would respond who has recently been in a similar situation.
Anyway, since creating this thread I have sought financial advice and invested in a very good Welsh building society so all sorted now.
