Hi, any ideas of somewhere to stop for 2 nights, 13th and 14th December, we will be travelling from Lancaster on the Monday, so could stop anywhere between there and Chester/birmingham area. Would love something quiet and romantic, but have something to do in the area.
Thanks
Thanks

Peak district comes to mind...
You could of course point a short way north to the lakes.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
Well I was all ready to help when I realised that you don't really mean up north at all! That is not even North England.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Do you have a particular budget in mind? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Sorry, from Wales I class it up North... budget wise I don't want to waste money however we do need a couple of days "us" time. I wouldn't mind going somewhere where we could see a show or something:jVisit beautiful Mid Wales:j0

Hi, We love Griffon Forest, lovely lodges with own hot tubs on the out skirts of York so plenty to do.

Chester is lovely if you want somewhere en route.
I would suggest York but it's the other side of the country so probably too far out...
If you want a city break, what about Liverpool?"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

Keswick or Ambleside should be just nice!
I do larf when people say Birmingham is 'north'. That from the school of thought that if you aren't dipping your toes in the English channel then you must be in 'the North'0
