New Nationwide Charges

I have just gone online to view my latest Nationwide statement, only to find I have been whacked by their new Non-UK Cash Withdrawal Fee & Non-UK Commission - 2 charges for the price of one!!!
I have had an Account with them for over 15 years and spend most of my time working abroad, so if they did send me some mail about it, I won't receive it for some time yet.
I doubt there is much I can do about this, and as I said not knowing I have continued withdrawing cash using my Debit Card as and when I needed it (I am currently working in Eastern Europe) and they have made some nice easy money out of me!! There was me thinking I was doing the right thing withdrawing cash from MY Account rather than using a credit card!!
I guess my only question is where is the best place to move my current account based upon the fact I have a lot of non-UK transactions, rarely go overdrawn (apart from my silly mistakes!!) and do virtually all banking online?
Thanks in advance for your help, and letting me tell the Nationwide where to stick their charges!!

well, if you wait till January there's Norwich & Peterborough.
Otherwise there's Santander (if you can qualify and are prepared to risk their appalling service) or alternatively, if you're willing to make a trip to London - Metro Bank0 -
if you're in Eastern Europe, it might not even be Euros that you want.0

I had a claim in the courts for bank charges totalling over £3000 this went to court and as you will know it got thrown out,i tried the hardship ruling and failed that as well.My question is now i have just been charged another £120 of charges for returned direct debits and over overdraft, not only that but they have just taken the charges which has put me over my overdraft limit again,so waiting to see if i get charged for that.I have noticed that they have dropped the charges to £15 now so if they think that is a fair price surely this should re open the cases for the charges of £30 each time being excessive and should refund half of the previous charges, just after your thoughts on this and has anyone else had similar charges, also can anyone tell me how to start a new post/thread havent been on for a while and cant work out how to do it0

Try " New Thread " at top of page on the left.

Go onto the index (forum display) page you want, in this case the 'Budgeting & Bank Accounts' forum.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20
Top left is the 'New Thread' button.0
