Can a Son 'over 25' living with parents, claim HB?

No, you can't claim LHA (formerly HB) if you are living with family.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

No, tenants who live in the same property as close relatives who are their landlord cannot claim HB whatever their age. Suggest he pays towards his keep out of his JSA or other benefit that he receives.0

True, I was surprised that grand parents are excluded from the definition of a close relative but you're correct.
