Well i had the snip done yesterday afternoon, after a fair bit of ribbing from my MD I was suitably anxious, but had nothing to fear, was no worse than having your jabs for an exotic holiday. No Noticable after effects.

It feels like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders, I realise I wont get the all clear until 2 clear tests, but am looking forward to the physical, emotional and financial freedom. :j

May seem like a drastic decision to some, however the choice of contraception for us blokes is poor at best: Condoms or Vasectomy.

Well done you for making the decision, that's all I can say. If you're certain you don't want to become a father or have additional children then you've taken the responsible road.

And I have to say how refreshing for a man not to be a wimp & say ouch, the snip hurt dreadfully & I thought I was going to die with the pain.

I don't know if you're in a long term relationship or not, but if you're having casual relationships, I hope you'll still be using condoms for the sake of protection from STIs.

Thank you all for your kind words.
MD is the Boss or managing director, he had it done a year ago.
I will still be using condoms as additional protection.
No point in lying, or building it up, it wasnt painful at all, not embarassing even with cute polish Dr and 2 nurses in the room. What was more of a nuisance was getting "Man Flu" from resting up for a day.
And as for getting back on the job, after seeing some delightful pics from medical colleagues on the potential down side of getting back to sexual activity to early,:eek: I will wait a few more days. And no I cant post the pics too graphic, Its one of the downsides of my job working with so many academics and medics I see the very worst that can happen to humans.
