Party outfit on the cheap?

We're going to a family birthday party on Saturday and I have nothing to wear. Honestly!
I've recently lost 2 stone so the dress I bought earlier this year for a wedding and a couple of parties hangs off me. It won't be a particularly fancy party, but I know I would be frowned upon for wearing my jeans (even my nice ones), so I'm looking for something new to wear, but cheap. I would normally head straight to Primark, but I wondered if it might be a good idea to go via Pigsback/Quidco

First congratulations on losing 2 stone, well done you!
There are a lot of mid seasons reductions on at the moment, so perhaps you could pick something decent up in one of the high street stores.
If you are really strapped for cash & don't mind charity shop gear then having a mooch about in one or two may bring results. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
ooh thanks, I always forget about the charity shops and don't mind at all. Today is my only day in town this week, so think I might be stretching my lunchbreak! Have just remembered about Dorothy Perkins special promotion thingy today aswell, so if I find something there I can always go back later and get it cheaper!Bank loan - [STRIKE]£9949.52 [/STRIKE]/ £8705.83 * Loan from DH - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE]/ £350 * Overdraft - [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] £648.47

oh pip, poor you . I'd suggest you try the charity shops and see what you can find, although they tend to be quite seasonal too
My main problem is that the last half a stone seems to have gone off my boobs, so I don't fill out my tops/dresses anymore. I could manage with trousers/skirts.
Just been round all the charity shops, Primark and New Look and come back empty handedBank loan - [STRIKE]£9949.52 [/STRIKE]/ £8705.83 * Loan from DH - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE]/ £350 * Overdraft - [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] £648.47

Thanks for your help girls. I did try Dotty Ps at lunch (and checked out their website) and nothing inspired me. I tried a dress on in Primark but it didn't work with my shape (very low cut, didn't come close to covering my boobs!). I think I might just have to get my needle and thread out and alter something I've already gotBank loan - [STRIKE]£9949.52 [/STRIKE]/ £8705.83 * Loan from DH - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE]/ £350 * Overdraft - [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] £648.47
