in Credit cards
sorry for double posting, not sure this post belongs here, I put it in another forum with no response (albeit an hour ago) its just I'm a bit worried that theres 3 cards in mine and my girlfriends names and we dont know where they are....
"Hi guys,
didnt know where to post this, rather worrying post going missing, who should I tell
about 3 weeks ago my maestro card stopped working due to the chip not being recognised. I spoke to my bank and ordered a new card it sounded like the chip was just dirty, the cash machine was telling me to 'try and clean it'. which I did and it started working again. Then I got a letter a couple of weeks later asking why I hadnt registered my new card, it had never arrived but had been dispatched.
2 weeks ago my girlfriend at same address ordered a new card for her new account. The card never showed up, though yesterday got a letter through the post asking her to register and also got her pin number I think, though no sign of the card again. We got about 15 letters through the post yesterday though havent had any for 5 days prior to that, all the dates on the letter go back up to 3 weeks.
Yesterday also I logged on to my egg account to check my statement and got a message up saying "if you have received your new card and wish to register it...." I never even ordered a new card, though after sending them a message they replied with (something like) "sorry you havent received your new card, your existing card expires in November so a replacement was despatched on 6th October, we have ordered you another which should be with you in 4-5 working days"
So thats 3 cards missing in the last 2 or 3 weeks, though we've got followup letters - our address is actually not on the road where the entrance is so I think a good chunk of our mail goes through the business address at the front of the building and gets delivered when they get round to it. So it sounds like a dodgy postman or someone at the business may be tampering, what do you reckon?"

perhaps you can pop into the business premises and ask if your mail is going there?
if it is then complain to the post office.
not sure about the cards.
certainly the egg situation you describe is common for egg...they 'post' that on the your website long before the card actually arrives.0
