Hi guys,
I'm planning on going to go to London and watch the Lion Kind with my fella after christmas and was wondering if anyone had already been to see it?
Since its quite far I'll also be needing to stay over in a hotel and not sure if we should drive or use the train. Anyone recommend anything for me or any place I should avoid?

The Lion King is fantastic, enjoy
If you are planning on staying fairly centrally there are a couple of Travel Ledge's worth looking at. I think one is near Euston and the other by the London Eye.
i personally wouldn't take a car in to London, once you pay parking and the congestion charge you could probably have covered half the train fare from Leeds!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
I just had a look and www.megabus.com do Leeds to London seats from £2 for example on Tuesday 28 Dec (11.20am).
www.premierinn.com Premier Inn Hammersmith is £59 for Tuesday 28 Dec and is a 20 aprrox min tube journey straight through on the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden (nearest station to the Lyceum). It is also about a 10 minute walk from PI to Westfields shopping Centre which has lots of bars and places to eat (which Hammersmith itself also has). It is a 15 minute journey from Victoria station (opposite Victoria Coach station) to Hammersmith on the district tube line.

You could check out ticketmaster.co.uk to see what seats are available and then theatre monkey seat reviews. They do seat and meal deals on sites like lastminute.com but personally I prefer to get the better seats than have a meal and poorer seats deal.0 -

Yeah, went to see it last February, and loved it! Helps if you know the film, of course.Since its quite far I'll also be needing to stay over in a hotel and not sure if we should drive or use the train. Anyone recommend anything for me or any place I should avoid?
I can only speak from my own experience but we got the train into Kings Cross and stayed at Southwark travelodge. Which isn't exactly around the corner from the Lyceum but was only a half hour walk across Waterloo bridge.0 -
Thanks for the information guys.
I'm glad to see you liked it - I'm hopefully going to book everything at some point later on this week.
Woohoo!
