Hi
I am really sorry if there is already a thread on this, I have had a good look through and been on the making money section, which directed me back over here!
I am looking to start selling my gift hampers, nappy cakes, pots of gold etc etc Particularly in the run up to christmas, to make some extra money, at local fayres and via a facebook page.
However I am really worried about doing something wrong 'legally' speaking!
I am already registered Self employed as a childminder, so I will just put my earnings through my self assessment form when it comes, but is there anything else I need to avoid/be aware of?
For example is the term 'Snowman soup' ok to use on my products? and the poem that goes with it? Or does it have a copy right?
I am also looking for help with recipes that fit into 1ltr and 0.5ltr Kilner Jars, the ones where you layer the dry ingredients.
Thank you all so much for your help
Katie

If you will be earning under the 5075.00 net allowance for self employment, you can sell things, but if its any sort of food, you may need a license, you do not need to tell self employment services if your earnings are going to be below the see limit, as you already pay voluntarily, but you will have to tell the tax office that yu have an additional self employment and they will register it.0
