Hi, I'm moving to Taiwan for a year soon and then probably travelling around SE Asia, what's the best way to get currency? I'll also have a job for the first 12 months so will probably need an account to receive wages in NT$ (New Taiwan Dollar). I have no idea where to start and my work aren't being much help!
Thanks in advance for any help!

They readily accept all major currencies out there, so you can take Sterling, but to avoid carrying large amounts of cash out there maybe you should use a Halifax Clarity card, apparantly they dont charge for cash withdrawals abroad (but you need to check this out, as I'm not 100% sure). However it's probably a good idea to take some New Taiwan Dollars with you for when you arrive, so you have the local currency to hand straight away. Thomas Exchange provide it www.thomasexchange.co.uk and the rate is good.0
